Hongik University has a long history in industrial design education consists of Product, Transportation, Interior, and Environmental Design Courses. Department of Industrial Design accepts about 60 students a year and about 20 students graduate with transportation major. During the transportation final year the seniors gets the chance to work on projects given by the company. By doing that the students gets opportunities to understand the basic fundamentals of company process towards making a car and understand company environment as an indirect experience which is essential for a car designer. Transportation final year study consist of one sponsored project and transportation courses¡? own sub-project including concept generation, sketch layout drawings, Alias modeling, CNC milling, 1:4 scale clay modeling and hard modeling.
